Abstract
Medical education is one of the most competitive fields that create intense stress among students, which harms the learning process, mental and physical health of students. Medical school environment has been recognized as a stressful one with negative effects on the academic performance, physical, and psychological well beings of the students. Several studies reported higher prevalence of psychological problems such as stress, anxiety, and depression among medical students than in general population and age matched peers. There has been an increase in the number of suicides and dropouts among medical students. Early detection of such problems shortens the duration of the episode and lessens the social impairment in the long term.
